Glub is an animated short about a young girl and her fascination with fish. Goldie, fresh out of her toddler years, desperately wants a pet fish and she'll stop at nothing to get it.

Glub deals with themes of responsibility, innocence, desire, and obsession, viewed through the eyes of a wily 4 ("4 and a half!") year old with her own agenda. The sets and props in this short film are made mostly from tiny toys and treasures from my own childhood obsession: collecting (a far more flattering word than "hoarding"). I surround myself with trinkets and trash that I’m convinced are treasure. I hunt for these scraps - for shrapnel of personal and collective experience. By using these personal experiences and mementos in the set, I become justified in holding onto them, thereby appeasing my hoarder (collector!) self. (BFA thesis film, September 2016 - June 2017)
