Mashable | Motion Graphics Artist, September 2018 - Present
I work with the art team to build creative and engaging animations that reach a massive audience on Mashable’s Snapchat Discover channel, Mashable.com, and Instagram. I’m responsible for 5-10 animations each day, as well as pitching ideas for animated content. In short, I create weird art, make it move, and put it on the internet.
Mighty Oak - Communications Apprentice | March 2018 - June 2018
After a successful internship, I was invited back to Mighty Oak to manage and produce content for the studio’s website and social media platforms. I launched a Behind-The-Scenes YouTube channel, designed promotional materials for events, and jumped on every chance to get my hands dirty in the creative process
Mighty Oak - Fabrication + Animation Intern | October 2017 - December 2017
Mighty Oak specializes in handmade stop motion animation. As their intern, I hand-drew and cut paper puppets for Chula With Invisible Strings and helped fabricate set pieces for Under Covers. I also crafted branded content and wrote copy for the studio's social platforms.
Flying Wish Paper - Graphic Designer | 2015 - Present
In addition to design and animation, I’m responsible for collaborating with clients on custom packaging and keeping Flying Wish Paper’s brand presence up-to-date with the latest stationary design trends.
Freelance - Animator + Illustrator | 2014 - Forever
As a full-service animator-for-hire, I’ve written and produced animated content for several brands, including Barefoot Wine and Jacobin Magazine.
Imaginary Friends - University of Oregon's Art + Technology BFA | September 2016 - June 2017
As part of the artist collective Imaginary Friends, I wrote and directed the stop motion short, Glub.
I also directed a series of promotional videos for our final exhibition.
Unbound Literary Arts Journal - Senior Art Editor | September 2014 - June 2016
I joined Unbound as an Art Editor after being showcased in the journal's yearly art exhibit. I quickly jumped ranks and took on more responsibilities, including; event coordination, recruitment, branding, and driving our publication from digital to print for the first time in four years.
Art Ducko Comics Magazine - Chief Layout Designer + Art Editor | September 2013 - June 2015
I was a founding member of University of Oregon's official comics magazine, Art Ducko. I spearheaded layout and web design, represented the magazine at Rose City Comic Con, and designed posters for Art Ducko's feature in Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art's groundbreaking EC Comics exhibit, Aliens, Monsters and Madmen.
